Whining

I take back all my whining and moaning of the last two years about the lack of male leadership at church. We (Career fellowship) got assigned to do the Christmas tree in the sanctuary this year. On top of that, we had to do it early, because the Arcadia Youth Choir starts practice at 8.

I get there 6:33, and no one but Jenn is there. Jenn is actually there discipling, so she doesn't even really count. At this point, i start to get disheartened.

Nonetheless, by 7:15, Chris, Sherman, John, and our fearless leader Patrick are all plugging away, swinging lights above the rafters. We actually go back after the kids are done practicing, to put together the tree and start trimming it. When i left at 11:15, the four of them were still plugging away. (i have to pack for my trip out of town)

On top of that, Julia took over my Sunday School stuff for this weekend. At the last possible moment.

Female leadership? I'll bank on the hard work of my brothers, thanks.
