Book Readery
I've received a copy of The Purpose-Driven Life as a gift. I guess it's the new, "hot" Christian living book. (sort of like I Kissed Dating Good-bye about five years ago) As with anything popular, i've been very skeptical... far too skeptical to pick up a copy for myself.
In reading the preface to the book, the author highly recommends doing the book as a prayer-partner type thing, with one or more other committed folks. Despite my misgivings, this sounds like an excellent idea, and i'm genuinely excited. To the point where i don't want to start without having at least one other person to go on this journey with me. On the advice of Ms. Fishie, i'm advertising!
So here's the pitch: come and read The Purpose-Driven Life with me. I can find an extra copy if the expense is a problem. I'd love to work through this, meet and pray, encourage, and talk. I suppose that when this plea goes unanswered, i will sink back into my misanthropic funk. ;)
(re-posting to blogger. Wherefore art thou, Mr. Sharpie? Get in touch, eh?)
