I had a really long day, but i did manage to squeeze in a moderately good Sunday School class (who knew? 6th graders, even pastor's kids, are legitimately more squirrely than 7th graders) and play some more basketball. I think i scored 2 points, played reasonable team defense on 3-4 points, and poked away one rebound from someone bigger/taller/stronger/faster than me. I also probably gave up 6-7 points to inadequate defense, out of 3 13-point games. Not bad, but i'll need to keep playing to get any better.

I ate a Widow Maker burger as well. As i'm unmarried, Claim Jumper's finest did not claim any victims.

We also talked about our overseas trip at career group on Friday. I really enjoyed it, even if i have a tendency to mumble under my breath still when i realize halfway through my sentence that i'm telling an inside joke that only a handful of people will understand. Apologies if you came and had to endure that. Unless you enjoyed it. In which case, it was the rum talking, and didn't Mrs. Fadeaway do a great job?

This life is sometimes complicated, and often more than a little sad as well as joyful. At times like these, it's important to remember that this is not our home, and what we're appointed to do in the here and now is prepare for a home in eternity. Be well, friends.
