I'm reviewing the ballot initiatives for the upcoming election this evening, so i tap my inimitable friend, isaacf for his opinions. Which are worthless. Because he doesn't live in California. And he didn't register.

Just FYI, here are my current votes on the Propositions. They're just my opinions, and are not endorsements. Kang and Kodos still want you to throw away your votes in your own unique way. I am a small-government conservative strongly in favor of civil liberties and privacy protections. Government is not a means to an end; it's an evil to be minimized. Any of the *'d ones are subject to change, since i'm having a harder time following the money this year than usual. All the 1X's appear to have been submitted by the legislature, and sponsored by an organization called, "Let's Rebuild California". (with infi bonds)

1A - Yes
1B - No*
1C - Yes
1D - Yes*
1E - No*
83 - No
84 - No*
85 - No (Controversy! Yes, i still think Roe should be overturned.)
86 - Yes
87 - No
88 - Yes (the current lack of property tax in California was a huge mistake and has fueled the redonkulous real estate bubble here)
89 - Yes*
90 - No

scrappykid: I think anyone who uses ALL CAPS in their arguments for or against reduce their chance of my favorable vote by an order of magnitude.
icegeist: That's why I don't dig the last part of the Communist Manifesto.

Other signs of shadiness: funding organizations based in Sacramento, saying that a law is "too complicated." There are people who make a living at exploiting every loophole in the law. If they can't figure it out, then i'll worry for the safety and sanctity of the State of California.
