Go make a mountain out of it.
Fondue is more fun than i should be allowed to have with the college group. The best part about cooking at my house... is that the college group cleans up after themselves. I can't believe some of you are looking forward to "February Bible study." Because you know that there's missions conference next week. C'mon now. I'm not paying that much attention to the schedule. Why should you?
I also unsuccessfully protested Dave and Buster's with career fellowship by playing the sniper game, which is supposed to be the least social thing you can do at D&B's. Instead, i got Mr. Landlord and Mr. ApprenticeCop playing, too. They are much steadier shots than me. Why is that game called Silent Scope? Wouldn't a silencer defeat the whole point of trying to use a sniper rifle? Maybe the scoping is silent? As opposed to all the audio scopes out there. <frown>
I've been roped into the short-term missions team this summer. More specifically, i'm co-leading the team this summer. With the Ms. MissionsChair. And with Mr. AlreadyInChinaForTheLastThreeYears and Auntie Tammy (let's face it, there are no codenames for Auntie Tammy that will conceal her identity to anyone who has ever met her) on the team. And maybe some of Pastor's kids from the LA church. What kind of backwards world is this? I don't feel particularly prepared to lead my way out of a paper bag.
When i asked why this had been announced without my even hearing about it, Ms. MissionsChair said, "Well, just listen to what God says to you about it." Ha ha. I will get them all back for this! I will pray the prayer of Jabez on their behalf weekly... nay, daily!
I'm kidding about that. Mostly.
